How To Activate Moldavite

Moldavite is a forest green, olive green or blue greenish vitreous silica projectile rock formed by a meteorite impact probably in southern Germany (Nördlinger Ries Crater) that occurred about 15 million years ago. It is a type of tektite.

According to Wikipedia, moldavite was introduced to the scientific public for the first time in 1786 as “chrysolites” from Týn nad Vltavou in a lecture by Josef Mayer of Prague University, read at a meeting of the Bohemian Scientific Society (Mayer 1788). Zippe (1836) first used the term “Moldavite”, derived from the Moldau (Vltava) river in Bohemia (the Czech Republic), from where the first described pieces came.

Recently, moldavite has become popular because of its association with the Extra-Terrestrial and its spiritual and metaphysical healing properties. Some #moldavite videos on TikTok garner over 450 million views, as the crystal continues to see a major surge in interest.

Many people associate Moldavite with transformative powers and the fact that it is only found in one area on Earth means it will eventually run out and there will be no more left to mine.

When activated, moldavite purportedly has many benefits in terms of emotional healing powers and physical healing powers. Those who have started to focus more on their chakras have turned to Moldavite gemstones and jewelry to help them:

  • align with their heart chakra and their third eye,

  • improve memory and brain balancing qualities,

  • use as a Talisman that might bring good fortune,

  • wear around the chest of the necklace to help with the heart chakra for love and relationships

How To Activate Moldavite

Activating a crystal simply means getting rid of the negative energetic prints and replacing it with positive ones. This process is also known as programming done using a variety of methods. However, there is no scientific evidence that moldavites have paranormal properties. Scientists now know moldavites are Earth sand and soil melted when an asteroid struck Ries, Germany. The molten glass fell back to Earth in the Czech Republic. Anecdotal evidence suggests that there is scientifically no way to “activate” these lovely pieces of bottle-green glass. It’s all superstition.
