College of Health Technology Ningi is the pioneer institution in Bauchi for the training of competent middle level health workers in the State. It is located in Ningi town, a local government area, and an emirate in Bauchi State, Nigeria. The Ningi emirate comprises two local government areas, Ningi and Warji, with a population of 501,912 according to the 2006 Census.
College of Health Technology Ningi is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education which accredits and supervise colleges of health technology in the country. The Federal Government established the National Board for Technical Education by Act 9 of January 1977. In August, 1985 and January 1993 respectively, the Federal Government enacted Act 16 (Education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) Act) and Act 9 (Education (National Minimum Standards and Establishment of Institutions) (Amendment) Act). With these Acts, the functions of the Board were extended to include accreditation of academic programmes in all Technical and Vocational Education (TVE) institutions. Act No.9 of 1st January 1993 further empowered the Board to recommend the establishment of private Polytechnics and Monotechnics in Nigeria.
The mission of the college is to educate and train well-motivated, knowledgeable and skillful health workforce capable of providing quality services to the people in all settings but particularly in the rural and underserved communities.
Admission Requirements for College Of Health Technology Ningi
Intending candidates must have at least (5) Credit passes in either WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO in not more than two sittings in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and one relevant subject (Geography, Economics, Physics, etc) subject.
